英語で書かれた宣伝
宣伝とは何か
「宣伝」「広告」とは、どんなメッセージでしょうか？
おもに、商品・サービス・イベントの紹介や、求職者などを募集する内容となります。
紙媒体、およびメールやインターネットの記事内、映像などで表現されます。
印象的なフレーズや目を引く写真などを用いて読み手の関心を引くように作られています。
The Oxford Dictionary Of Catchphrases には、多様なキャッチフレーズが紹介されています。
TOEICのパート7でも、その種の長文読解は必ず出題されます。得点源にしたいところです。
宣伝を表す単語
宣伝・広告は advertisement と表すのが普通です。この単語は ad と短く略されます。
広告を掲載することを run an ad といいます。
