家事の英語表現
She is good at household chores.
訳 彼女は家事が得意だ。
household chores は「家事」を表します。
英語では機械に頼らない手作業のことを、 handwork または manual labor といいます。
人にもよりますが、家事では手作業の割合が多くなります。
機械の操作や運転は operation という単語を使います。
もう一つ例文を見てみましょう。
Thanks to a skilful housekeeper, I had a delicious dinner.
訳 手際のいいお手伝いさんのおかげで、おいしいディナーを食べることができた。
「器用な」とか「慣れた手つきの」は skillful で表せます。手つきは熟練度を表します。
家事や育児に携わる家政婦は housekeeper です。
清掃や修理にかかわるビルの管理人のことは janitor といいます。
調理をする家事
料理を作ることは、人間の基本的な活動の一つですね。
台湾料理や韓国料理のように料理が美味しいと評判の国があります。

rice bowl は「茶碗」。ちなみに、 rice ball は「おにぎり」。
調味料

clean up は「きれいにする」感じですね。clean は普通の言葉で、よく使われるようです。
Please put away your B5 size plastic folders.
訳 B5サイズのクリアファイルをしまってください。
put away は具体的な物を「片づける、しまう」。
Everyone tidied up the remains of the party.
訳 みんなでパーティーの後片付けをした。
tidy up は「場所の上を片づける」感じです。
He is in charge of getting rid of the nest of mice.
訳 彼はネズミの巣を駆除する係なんです。
get rid of は「良くないものを取り除く」イメージ。
整理する
The botanist sorted old photos of houseplants into an album.
訳 植物学者は、観葉植物の古い写真をアルバムに整理しました。
sort は「仕分ける、分別する、整理する」感じです。
His cabinet contains his document in alphabetical order.
訳 彼のキャビネットには ABC 順に彼の文書が入っている。
in alphabetical order は「アルファベット順に」。
Yours is an example of a well-classified and well-organized shelf.
訳 あなたの棚は、よく分類されよく整理されている例ですね。
classify は「分類する」。organize は「整理整頓する」。
掃除する
I vacuumed the floor thoroughly.
訳 床を徹底的に掃除した。
vacuum は「掃除機で掃除する」。「真空」の意味もあります。
He brushed the tub completely, including the bottom.
訳 彼は浴槽の底も含めて完全に磨き上げた。
She skillfully wiped dry furniture and desks in every corner.
訳 彼女は、家具や机を隅々まで手際よく乾拭きした。
wipe dry で「乾拭き」。wipe wet だと「水拭き」。in every corner で「隅々まで」。
We Japanese declutter our homes at the end of every year.
訳 私たち日本人は、毎年年末に大掃除をする。
declutter は「片づける、断捨離する」。
換気・消臭
Clifford deodorized all the clothes with a spray.
訳 クリフォードはすべての衣服をスプレーで消臭した。
deodorizer だと「脱臭剤、防臭剤」。
This air purifier is so compact that it can be placed anywhere.
訳 この空気清浄機はとてもコンパクトなので、どこにでも置ける。

飾る

日本語の「インテリア」は、英語では interior decoration か interior design になります。

weed は「雑草」ですが、動詞だと「雑草を取る」になります。

mow は「かまや機械で刈る」。
Some workers were pruning the branches of the tree in my garden.

洗濯する
I want to wash curtains in my bathtub.
訳 カーテンを浴槽のなかで洗いたいです。

訳 毎日毎日洗濯することはできません。

訳 車で30分以内のコインランドリーを知っていますか？
コインランドリーは和製英語です。英語では laundromat といいます。

訳 この棚に柔軟剤と洗剤を用意しました。
畳む・干すなど
She is quickly folding the laundry.
訳 彼女はテキパキと洗濯物を畳んでいます。
She carefully pinned the clothes one by one.
訳 彼女は一枚一枚丁寧に洗濯ばさみで服を留めていった。
When ironing a scarf, pressing too hard will damage the fabric.
訳 スカーフにアイロンをかける場合、強く押しすぎると繊維を傷めます。
容姿
体を洗う

throw away は文字通り「投げ捨てる」感じ。ちなみに、ポイ捨ては littering です。

訳 次に、倉庫の書類をシュレッダーにかけてください。

訳 部屋が散らかっている。思い切ってゴミの山を捨てなさい。
dispose of は「大きなものを廃棄する」感じ。
