数量の増減
rise/fall や increase/decrease
グラフや表の説明などで増減を表したいときは、ふつうこれらの言葉が使えます。
Compared to when the company started, profits rose / fell sharply.
訳 創業時に比べて、会社の利益は急増 / 急落した。
Monthly sales increased / decreased by 15 percent.
訳 月次の売り上げは15％増加 / 減少した。
ちなみに、「急激に」の意味は他の表現でも表せます。

変更・修正・調整
原則や設定などに人為的に変化を加えることを表す動詞です。

Rescheduling caused customers to get frustrated.

変容
The larva transforms into an adult insect within a day or two.
訳 幼虫は1日か2日で成虫に変身する。
昆虫などが姿を変えることを metamorphosis（変態）といいます。その短縮形が以下の例文。

形容詞を使った表現
動詞＋形容詞
「～になる」変化は、become, get, turn, go, come が使えます。後に形容詞が続きます。
He became famous.
訳 彼は有名になった。
become は永続的な変化。
She got angry.
訳 彼女は怒った。
get は一時的な変化。
Is the bone density getting low?
訳 骨密度が低くなっているのだろうか？
The leaves will turn yellow.
訳 葉っぱは黄色くなるだろう。
turn は正反対の変化。
Something went wrong.
訳 何かが上手くいかなかった。
go は悪い状態への変化。

come は良い状態への変化。
more や less など
More and more people buy small cars these days.
近頃、小型車を買う人が増えている。
名詞の前に more and more をつけると、「増えている」ことを表せます。
We spend less and less time together than when we were at school.
私たちは、学生時代に比べれば、一緒に過ごす時間が減っている。
名詞の前に less and less をつけると、「減っている」ことを表せます。
It is getting colder and colder as we move into October.
訳 10月に入るにつれ、ますます寒くなってきた。
The more open you are, the more friends you will make.
訳 オープンであればあるほど、より多くの友人を作ることができる。
the more ～ the more ～ の構文です。「～であればあるほど、より～である」の意味。

His funny sneeze made the whole vibe a little brighter.
訳 彼のおかしなくしゃみで全体の雰囲気が少し明るくなった。

形容詞や名詞＋en
形容詞や名詞に en という接尾辞をつけて動詞にした言い方です。
Using too much salt will worsen the taste.
訳 塩を使いすぎると味が悪くなる。
I wonder if the tailor will widen my trousers.
訳 仕立て屋は私のズボンの幅を広げてくれるかな。
The density of the toxic matter has been weakened.
訳 有害物質の濃度が弱まった。

change には多様な意味があります。
You can change in this room.
訳 この部屋で着替えられます。
「着替える」の意味。
I caught a cold at the change of seasons.
訳 季節の変わり目に風邪を引いた。
「変化」の意味。seasons のように複数形になります。
It needs a change of trains.
訳 それには電車の乗り換えが必要です。
「取り替える」ことを示します。やはり trains という複数形です。

目盛りを back させるイメージ。
変化に乏しいとき。
The growth rate remains flat.
訳 成長率は横ばいです。
remain flat は「横ばいである」。
波状に揺れ動く様子。
The stock price continues to fluctuate.
訳 株価は上下し続けています。
fluctuate は「上下する、変動する」。
