The Value of Basic Words

I would like to write and speak simple English.
I think it’s important to express as concisely as possible to ensure I am understood.
I would rather use basic words effectively than use difficult words or complicated idioms.
We cannot overestimate the value of basic words.
Learning difficult expressions is needed when we want to read, especially formal documents,
but it is better to communicate in a clear and simple way when it comes to daily conversation.
Some learners use slang words too much in an attempt to create a casual atmosphere,
but this attitude may bring misunderstanding against their will.
What’s more, some learners may want to use expressions which sounds cool
in order to show off their English skill.
Learning and using common words is much more necessary for all English learners, I think.
If I compose a sentence in English, I would like to try to use familiar vocabulary.

しかし、日常会話となると、わかりやすくシンプルな表現で伝えたほうがよいです。
また、カジュアルな雰囲気を出すためスラングを多用する学習者もいますが、
その態度は期せずして誤解を招く可能性があります。
さらには、英語力を誇示するため、かっこいい響きの表現を使いたがる学習者もいます。
一般的な単語を覚えて使うことは、英語学習者みんなに一層必要なことだと思います。
私は英語で文章を作るなら、なじみの単語を使うようにしたいです。
