Ridiculous Heat

A few days ago, I had an opportunity to take a train in the daytime.
The information display showed that the next train would arrive in about ten minutes.
I felt hot even in the shaded area of the platform, so I was looking for a cool place.
I saw a waiting room on the platform in the distance.
I saw the doors of the room had been opened due to the measures against the Coronavirus,
but I walked to the room.
When I entered, I was deeply disappointed to find out the inside was hot as well.
If it were not for the virus, it would have been a wonderfully cool space.
Everybody will admit that the heat of the summer is abnormal in recent years.
The temperature at Death Valley was 54.4 degrees Celsius last month.
This was a record high. What an unbelievable heatwave!
No one can survive in such a harsh environment!
Fortunately, the weather forecast says that the temperature will drop
in my area from the beginning of next week.
I have been looking forward to this for a long time.
